Welcome

Welcome to my little spot on the world wide web, a place that I hope to let you into my world behind the lens. I have fallen head over heels in love with photography. I see it everywhere I go. My mind is always swirling and taking notes. It has become part of who I am. I want to make time stop through my images. Capture the things we just might otherwise forget.

Cox family

Sunday afternoon I led this family out to a riverside park for our "back drop"... well, every single one of them is so photogenic we could have been anywhere and it wouldn't have mattered at all! Seriously, look at the blue eyes on all of them!

This is yet another family I have gotten to know due to the friendships of my kids. Josie and Jane have been friends since they were in the same class as first graders. I feel so lucky that my kids have good friends that are part of such great families! Thanks Cox family for once again making my work easy!

The Brown family

Meet the Browns! McKenzie is a cute little friend of Emme's from pre-school. Jenny, aka mom, is on the same wave length as I am when it comes to taking photos, making this easy. In fact, this cute little spot was one she scouted for me. She found out I was into photography and now she will now be one of my official scouters ! Lawrence is so full of great spots but the best ones are just off the beaten path. So thanks to the folks in NE Lawrence for letting us stroll your sidewalks, alleys and steps. Thanks for hanging with us boys, know taking pictures is never high on the ole priority list! Enjoy, I had fun!

The Schwarz Family

Ok, ok, so you have heard me say it a few times, we have an awesome neighborhood! Case in point, another great family from our street! I had taken the kids out this summer and got some super cute pictures of them (Ashlyn was on my very first post) but this time we wanted to try and get the whole family. Camden is so ornery, I think I could have done an entire post on his "out takes" alone. Not even sure we could really call them out takes, just many silly faces! But the darn kid is so photogenic anyway it doesn't matter at all! Ashlyn is also extremely photogenic and comfortable in front of the camera, you don't even have to ask her to do anything in particular, she is always one step ahead. I had fun guys! Hope you enjoy your peek!

The sun hadn't been out all day, it snuck out and WOW look at the reflections!

Ornery I am telling you!

Gann Family

This past weekend I got to load up and head over to KC to spend some time with this adorable family. Angie and I went to middle school and high school together, then sadly she then went to K-State and that was the end of our friendship. Totally kidding! But I can't say we have seen eachother much since high school, how is that possible? I can laugh out loud at some of the fun times we used to have! All innocent of course, just plain old fun. It didn't seem like it had been that long, she is the same sweet Angie! I am so glad at our opportunity to reconnect and the chance to meet her family. These kids are seriously adorable! I think Jenna is a total natural in front of the camera, I have endless great pictures of her. I had a few suckers tucked away in my pocket to help us through to the end, bribery at it's best. Thanks again Angie! I will be calling soon so we can meet up again.

We had a four-legged fella that tried to come in and join us. Crazy as it is there is an over-population of deer in this park in KC. No sharpshooting was occurring while we were there, thank goodness!

Peek-a-boo!
Ugh! Sorry for this annoying white border around these vertical shots! I am using a new software and will admit I am still a rookie at it...that and it is late and I am too tired to try and figure it out.

Isn't this the reality of life with a 2 and 4 year old?
